Why Should I donate blood?

Each year, patients in the 20 hospitals or transported by one of the 8 Air Evac or 5 Hospital Wing helicopters served by LIFELINE Blood Services, require nearly 25,000 units of blood and blood products.

Patients suffering from diseases like leukemia and other cancers, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, another illnesses often benefit from blood transfusions. Other conditions that may require blood transfusions include premature births, accidents, and major surgeries.

The only way for blood to be available when our friends, family, and neighbors need it is if someone like you volunteers to give it.
